Garen has more than 45 years of experience in software and services in financial and insurance services as well as emerging payment technologies. He is an experienced venture and private equity investor. His experiences as a CEO range from start-ups to large-scale LBO turnarounds and IPOs.

He has held leadership positions at numerous fintech and payments leaders including CyberCash, First Data, eOneGlobal, NVoicePay, and SVB Financial Group.

Garen specializes in venture, LBO and private equity investing, mergers and acquisitions, nominating and governance, compensation committee experience, among
other areas. 

Garen and his wife founded and run One Mind, a leading fundraising organization to find causes and cures for mental illness. Along with their two adult children, they own and operate the acclaimed Staglin Family Vineyard in Rutherford, CA.
